Do I need to buy special mason jar lids for this sealer?

No. This sealer works with all mason jars, including regular mouth and wide mouth. You just need the original two-piece metal lids (flat lid + screw band).

Why can't the machine evacuate the air in the bag for sealing

When using a sealed bag, please manually squeeze out excess air inside the bag first, and then use specialized accessories for vacuum sealing. Otherwise, excessive air inside the bag will affect the vacuum pumping effect

How to tell if the mason jar is successfully vacuum sealed?

The sealer stops automatically when sealing is complete. Try to move the lid. No movement and a tight fit against the jar rim indicate a successful seal.

Why does the machine keep running without stopping and fail to seal the jar？

Make sure the suction port is completely flush with the jar rim (or bag/bottle mouth) with no gaps. Try adjusting the angle multiple times to prevent air leaks, then seal again. For vacuum bags, manually press out excess air before sealing.

How to properly connect the hose to the machine?

First connect one end of the hose to the included cross adapter, then insert the adapter into the hole at the bottom of the machine. Do not insert the hose directly into the hole.
